The Omni Austin Hotel Downtown is located in the downtown business district, one block from the 6th street entertainment district, 6 blocks away from the capitol complex and convention center. Easily accessible to Zilker Park, Highland Lakes and LBJ ranch, the hotel sits on previous site of the original governor's mansion. The hotel sits at a 45 degree angle with an office building, and the two are adjoined with a spectacular 200 foot glass atrium. The lobby level atrium offers Ancho's Restaurant, a lounge, gift shop, Enterprise car rental, men's clothing shop, jewelry store, hair and nail salon. The Omni Austin Hotel Downtown was voted as having the best view from a hot tub by the Austin Chronicle.

Directions

Exit Airport onto Hwy. 71W. Travel approximately 1.5 miles and exit onto Hwy. 183N. Travel for approximately 2 miles to 7th Street Exit. Exit 7th Street and travel approximately 3 miles to IH35. At IH35 turn right onto access road. Take the immediate left going under IH35 onto 8th Street (290W). Travel approximately 3 blocks to 8th Street and San Jacinto. Take I-35N from San Antonio. Once in Downtown Austin, take the 6th-12th Street exit. Turn left under IH35/8th Street. Continue approximately 3 blocks on 8th Street to San Jacinto Street. Cross San Jacinto Street and the hotel entrance is on the left.

Take 290W from Houston. Once in Austin take the IH35 South ramp to Downtown/8th Street exit. Turn right onto 8th Street and travel approximately 3 blocks to San Jacinto Street. Cross San Jacinto Street and the hotel entrance is on the left.

Take Highway 71 W to I-35N. Once in Downtown Austin, take the 6th-12th Street exit. Turn left under IH35/8th Street. Continue approximately 3 blocks on 8th Street to San Jacinto Street. Cross San Jacinto Street and the hotel entrance is on the left.
